The feature film of the production and exhibition is a multi -layered collaboration between the artist and ex-workers of Pilkingtons Glass. Part documentary and part experimental installation. The film combines recovered archive photography/video found on site, testimonies from past employees and performative interpretations of archival documents from the legacy of the company worker’s amateur dramatic society “The Pilkington Musical Theatre Company”.
This 16mm archive film is one of the items discovered and saved in a discarded box due to be put on a scrap heap. Shown as part of the site specific installation the original print was projected, recorded and then digitised for preservation.
